About Us
Our mission is to provide a safe space where you can share your experiences, ask questions, and receive support from others on a similar journey. Whether you are receiving Parenteral Nutrition (TPN), tube feeding, or other forms of Artificial Nutrition. You are not alone.
Our ValueS
Compassion, connection, resilience, hope, empowerment.
We believe in fostering a compassionate and supportive community for individuals facing the challenges of artificial nutrition. We value the importance of connection, resilience, hope, and empowerment. Our goal is to empower individuals to make informed decisions about their care and maintain a positive outlook, no matter what challenges they may face.
Meet our team
After years of health problems and numerous surgeries, I developed difficulty swallowing on Christmas Day, 2017. This led to an emergency Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB) in 2018.
My journey with artificial nutrition began with a jejunostomy tube (J-tube). However, in 2020, due to discomfort and significant weight loss, I transitioned to a Hickman line.
Living with artificial nutrition has been a challenging experience for both myself and my family, as it has disrupted our daily cultural and social practices. I am committed to raising awareness about the daily struggles faced by individuals on artificial nutrition and advocating for greater understanding from healthcare professionals.

Co-Founder
My journey on Home Artificial Nutrition began in 2009, following a diagnosis of severe Gastroparesis.
I first started my journey on Enteral Nutrition where I was fed via a Pej (surgical Jej). My health continued to decline and 2 years later I was diagnosed with Total Intestinal Failure due to unspecified Leukodystrophy, which is when my relationship with Total Parental Nutrition began!
TPN is my life-line that has given me back some quality of life and has allowed me to still do some of the things I love. I have faced many challenges with my health, and I’m sure I will face many more! But I have developed an understanding of my condition and the support of my family and friends I can do this with a smile!
A few years ago I saw a kind man struggling the same way I had. I reached out a supportive hand, a smile and some friendship and today I am proud to call Darren a good friend. I am so proud of everything he has achieved and I am so excited to help him anyway I can on this amazing adventure at Hunger Games!!
Hi There!
I’m Dave, i’m 37 and from Surrey.
I’m a chef by day, and in my spare time I love vlogging, DJing, hiking, wild camping.
I met Darren 20 years ago whilst DJing. And have we’ve been making music, hiking and camping ever since.
I’m here to lend a hand. Whether it is up in the mountains, floating in a loch on a dingy, or helping create this website.
I’m looking forward to meeting some of you on our walking events!
Family support ambassador
I am the Ambassador who is the Daughter/Carer of Kim Kenny. I hope my first hand experience supporting my mum through her difficult journey with Artificial Nutrition will enable me to help and support others here too. I’m so excited to be a part of this incredible project and team.
